PopUp Market Catania 30 and 31 July
PopUp Market Sicily returns with a great summer festival at the Villa Bellini.
On 30 and 31 July, from 17.30 to 01.00 and from 17.30 to 00.30, the Cloister of Music will once again rule of PopUpMarketSicily background, spreading in the two-day event beautiful notes of swing soaked , rock & roll, electronics and tango.
After the huge success in May, returns to one of the most picturesque locations in the city, the public garden dedicated to Vincenzo Bellini in the center of Catania. In those days the creative market more popular in southern Italy, filled with music and colors the Villa Bellini in the Cloister area above the fountain of swans.
The Cloister of Music of Villa Bellini, built in 1879 in Moorish style and used until the late ’60s for classical music concerts, will be the background of PopUpMarketSicily for live music, musical performances and concerts: the orchestra Bellini, performing Saturday, July 30th at 18:00 with his Ensemble clarinet Càalamus, composed of 21 elements. Continue in the same day with the space devoted to current trends, the Swing fact from 19.30 to 21.30, Sicilyinswing and the international Marco Dietz star of Swing Patrol, allow the public to enjoy trial lessons and shim sham.
To close the first day an exceptional guest star, a live concert, in collaboration with Weak, edited de The Stranger. The group, from the acoustic-pop sounds, consists of John Facelli, Federica Addari, Luca France, Valentina and Francesco Francini Seitone.
On Sunday, will feature other musical genres, so dear to fans of the genre and the profane: tango and rock & roll, interspersed with dj-set: from 19.30 to 21.30, hot and passionate notes will warm tango hearts of all present , and then unleashed from 22.30 onwards with Mel & the Peek a boos, or rockabilly female: 5 pieces Catania combo, since 2007, led by the overwhelming Mel on vocals.
