The spaces of the Foundation Puglisi Cosentino host from 2 October 2016 until 15 January 2017 the exhibition on the wacky world of Ugo Nespolo and its colorful world of bizarre characters.
Piedmont, 75, medlar is one of the most unique performers in the painting of the Italian Novecento and this will be his first exhibition in the island. Showcasing over 170 works from private collections, created by the artist over a period of about fifty years, between 1967 and 2016. Along with a body of drawings, include sculptures, installations, designer furniture and carpets, wooden buildings which are the numeral of the Piedmont master. A section, in particular, is dedicated to experimental cinema of the seventies.
All told in the anthological “That’s Life” a valuable catalog-book published by Franco Maria Ricci, along with images and unpublished documents with which reassembles the extraordinary artistic career of Ugo Nespolo, he gathers with the text of the curator Eccher also careful critical anthology of essays dedicated to the teacher of scholars and art historians in the course of his ten years.
